Loxley Wood

Loxley Wood lies on a gentle north facing slope of the Polden Hills between Bridgwater and Street. The wood is almost entirely an ancient woodland site.

Coates Willow Centre

The Coate family have been growing withies on the moors since 1819 and making baskets and willow charcoal for almost 50 years.

Fun little walk, pond, and a place for kids to build wood dens.

Cheddar Gorge

Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar, Somerset, England.

A nice walk up to the Quantok hills  with heather at the top.

Thurloxton Farm

Great strawberry picking in summer and pumkins in late autumn.

Kilve Beach

The beach of Kilve lies about halfway between Minehead and Bridgwater in the heart of the Quantocks.

Brean Beach

The 7-mile stretch of sand and dunes that make up Brean beach lies just over two miles down the coast from Weston-super-Mare.

Burrow Mump is a scheduled monument, with a never completed church on top of the hill a Grade II listed building.

Eboor is a less intense walk than Cheddar Gorge, and pretty view at the top.

Ham Wall

Great for a long stroll but also you can take bikes. Bring food for Robins who might go on your hand and binoculars. This is also where the murmurations can be seen later in the year.

Greylake Nature Reserve

In the heart of the Somerset Levels & Moors, Greylake is the perfect place to get closer to nature with wading birds like lapwing, redshank & golden plover.
